Episode Transcript

In today's episode of two minutes and motivation. We're going to be talking about the power of intention and living in an intentional life. I had a really interesting conversation this week with Ellen Bennett, Ellen shared how, when she wanted to run a race, she went out and she bought a workout outfit and that made her feel like a runner.

And then she went on to found Hedley and Bennett become the CEO of this great culinary apron company. And that empowers chefs to feel really good about what they're wearing in the kitchen. This got me thinking about how, what we wear is a way of setting an intention for ourselves and setting the stage for what we want to accomplish.

This is one simple way that you can start adding more intention into your life. Another way to add more intention to your life is to set intentions for yourself every day particularly in the morning, you can take a little time to think about what are your goals for the day. How do you want to show up?

Who do you want to be? How do you want to feel? Because what happens throughout the day is things happens, stress happens. But if you have that intention set and you can come back to it and you can do periodic check-ins throughout the day and kind of get you to guide back to where you want to be. If you kind of lost your way a little bit, if you're feeling overwhelmed.

So setting those intentions are really, really helpful to help you stay grounded, to be the best you that you can be. Another way to set intentions is to really think about what is the main focus of what you're about to do. So for example, if you're working on a work project, you're setting the intention to be present for that project for with an end goal in mind, events, time to pick up your kids.

You're setting the intention to be present with your kids and not be scrolling through your phone and thinking about the work emails that you have to send. Those are little intentions that we can. Throughout the day to help us be grounded in the present moment. So setting intentions and living an intentional life is living a mindful life as well.

So that the few things that I just briefly talked about was one paying attention to what you're wearing. That's a way to set intention to incorporate intentions into your morning routine and three incorporate intentions before you have things throughout the day, whether it be a work project or picking up your kids, whatever it is, it grounds you to the present moment.

I hope that this helps. And until next time, this is Kristel Bauer of Live greatly inspiring you to awaken your ultimate potential.
