Episode Transcript

In today's episode of two minutes of motivation, we're going to be talking about the anti-inflammatory diet. I had a really great conversation this week with Heidi Kristoffer. We talked a lot about yoga, and we also talked about how Heidi has recovered from a really bad back injury from a car accident. And this got me thinking about back pain and back pain is such a common problem and it's something I've had to deal with myself.

When my daughter was young, I was holding the car seat the wrong way. My posture wasn't the best. My alignment was the best, my core wasn't the best. And I hurt myself. I bulged a disc L four L five and it was a big challenge. So I can definitely relate to you out there who, you know, you're, if you're dealing with back pain or you've dealt with back pain, the one thing that can help no matter where you're at is having an optimal diet, an anti-inflammatory diet is a great way to support yourself physically and mentally as well.

So the first thing that you want to look at when you're wanting to start an anti-inflammatory diet is what foods are you eating that are inflammatory? Cause you're going to want to minimize those. So if you're eating a lot of sugary foods, if you're eating a lot of processed foods, those are the things you're going to want to minimize. French fries and pizza and candy and soda, all that stuff.

Now, then you want to try and add in more fruits and vegetables and whole foods and legumes and seeds and nuts and healthy fats. Things that you enjoy, this should be fun. It should be something that is enjoyable for you. So you may be getting a cookbook. Um getting some great recipes. Also adding in some great herbs and spices things like garlic and ginger tumeric, you know, those are all great with wonderful benefits as well.

So this is something that is a lifestyle. It's trying to add more of these antioxidant rich foods into your life. Add more of these anti-inflammatory foods into your life so that you can have more energy so that you can reduce it, that any pain that you're experiencing to feel your best. So I hope that this helps.

And until next time, this is Kristel Bauer with Live Greatly inspiring you to awaken your ultimate potential. If you want to learn more, I also have a course on this topic. You can go to my website, www.live greatly.co, where I have a course all about eating, to optimize your mind in your body. Take care.
