In today's episode of two minutes of motivation, I'm going to be sharing with you three ways to boost your self esteem. I had a really great conversation this week with Gabrielle Reece. She's a volleyball legend, and we talked a lot about body image and that got me thinking about how you can boost your self-esteem.
And I want to give you a few tangible tips to get you started. The first tip is to set approachable goals for yourself that you know you can achieve. Having really big goals is great, but sometimes having those big goals can be a little bit overwhelming. So you really want to have goals that you can achieve on a daily basis to get the momentum going.
So let's say you have a goal of wanting to work out for 30 to 40 minutes, four times a week. That's great. But how about you start out with today? I'm going to make sure I get 10 minutes in. So set goals that you know you can do, and that helps boost your self esteem to help get you moving.
The second step is, make sure you're focusing on your strengths and amplify the things that you're good at. Too often, we focus our energy and our attention on our flaws on things that we maybe need improvement on versus the stuff that you're really good at.
So amplify your strengths and pay attention to your unique talents.
The third thing is to do things that make you feel good, pamper yourself a little bit. This is something like, okay, maybe you really love wearing the color blue or yellow. We'll make sure that you have a lot of that stuff in your wardrobe so that you can feel good about yourself.
Use products that make you feel good, whether it be skincare products or hair products. And go out and get a massage once in a while, take care of yourself and do things that make you feel good to help boost your self-esteem and in just really simple ways, because if you come out feeling confident about the way that you look, the way that you're dressed, that's going to show off, it's going to boost your self-esteem.
