Kristel:

On this episode of two minutes and motivation, we are going to dive deep into the morning routine, and I'm going to give you three tips to set yourself up for a successful and fulfilling day. I had a really great conversation with Glenn Lundy this week. You haven't checked it out. I highly recommend you do.

He gave a lot of really valuable advice around this topic. He's also the father of eight and the host of rise and grind. So definitely recommend that you take a listen to that. You and that conversation inspired me to spend a little time with you today on this topic of the morning routine. Now there's three things we're going to cover.

The first thing is something you're probably doing that is negatively impacting your entire day. And that thing is checking your phone right after you wake up. I know, I know it is so tempting and I fall into the trap of doing it. On occasion, even though I'm aware of this. So there is that pull of wanting to scroll through your notifications and your messages right after you wake up.

But what that does is it puts you in a reactive state. So you really want to try and avoid checking your social media, checking your email, checking your phone right after waking.

Now the second thing is you want to try and take some time, first thing in the morning. For yourself to do something, to set the stage for the entire day and to get your nervous system in a place where you can have optimal health optimal wellbeing.

And what that looks like for me is meditation. Now, meditation does not have to be for 20, 30 minutes. You can take five minutes. You can take 10 minutes. You can take two minutes in the morning to sit and to meditate, focusing on your breath. And that is a really wonderful way to set yourself up for a nourishing and fulfilling day.

Now the third thing is you really want to try and move your body in the morning that gets the blood flowing. It's going to help with productivity throughout the day.

So recapping three things. Number one, do not check your phone after you wake up, take some time away from your phone. Take time for yourself first thing, second step do some sort of meditation or self care routine in the morning to help calm down your nervous system and set yourself up for a successful day. Third step, move your body.

So I hope that you found this useful and until next time, this is Kristel Bauer with Live greatly inspiring you to awaken your ultimate potential.
