Exciting Winter Getaway at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston, Texas

This was my first trip to Houston, Texas and I was really excited to have a family adventure in what locals call H-Town! After taking a very early morning flight to maximize our vacation time we arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston to be greeted by smiling faces and true Texas hospitality. New research has shown that vacations can support our well-being and the positive impacts from vacations can even linger after we return home and head back to work. I can vouch for this as I am still smiling when I think of our time in Houston! My family and I received a 2 night complimentary media stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston including some meals and activities and I am really excited to give you a look into it!

OUR ROOM

Upon arrival, we were given an early check in (which we all were ecstatic about) and we arrived at our spacious room which included a large living space with a pull out sofa and a separate bedroom. The layout was great for traveling with kids! The room that was booked for us was a Premier Executive Suite One King Bed.

SPECIAL TOUCHES

From the complimentary coffee and tea bar in the morning, to the pumpkin bread and flavored water available in the lobby in the afternoons, the Four Seasons Houston’s attention to detail made it an extra special trip. They went above and beyond by leaving a special kid friendly surprise in our room which was a big hit!

EXCURSIONS IN THE AREA

The Four Seasons Houston Hotel provided us with complimentary transportation to visit Houston’s Downtown Aquarium which was a great perk. We had a wonderful time at their shark exhibit and we were even able to touch and feed stingrays as well! We decided to walk back to the hotel after we were done which took us about 15-20 minutes.

AMENITIES

I was excited to find that they had a large fitness center with a lot of different options to get my body moving. It overlooked a beautiful pool area, which I would love to enjoy the next time we visit! Research has shown that physical activities while on vacation support well-being so the next time you are traveling, make sure to incorporate some fun ways to get moving!

TOPGOLF SWING SUITE

Indoor virtual golf anyone? Yes, please! We had a blast enjoying the Topgolf suite in the Four Seasons Hotel Houston which was located by their restaurant Bayou & Bottle. I am not an established golfer (yet) so it was fun to be able to swing without having to worry about missing or slowing anyone down. If golf isn’t your thing, they also had other virtual sports that could be played in this area like football, soccer and baseball. We were also able to order food and drinks while playing which made it even more fun!

FUN PERKS

In the lobby by the check-in counter there was a cabinet called the Vivrelle closet which was filled with gorgeous designer purses that could be borrowed during your stay. I had a lot of fun picking out a purse to borrow to bring to our dinner at Toro Toro that evening!

TORO TORO

Dinner at the Pan-Latin Steakhouse Toro Toro in the Four Seasons Hotel Houston was an incredible experience from beginning to end! We started with the Angry Scorpion Roll which was one of the best sushi rolls I have ever had! We then had the short rib tacos followed by filet with carrots, asparagus, and potato three ways as sides. We were then really excited when the chef came out to the table and recommended the La Bomba for dessert which was a half sphere of chocolate filled with ice cream, brownie bites and berries. A mat was placed down on our table and the chocolate sphere was broken, making it a fun and interactive dessert experience. Overall everything was delicious and I would absolutely love to go back!

Bayou & Bottle

For night two we were in for a treat at the bar/restaurant in the Four Season’s Houston Hotel, Bayou & Bottle. We were seated right away even though we didn’t have a reservation and we started out with a delicious charcuterie board and crispy brussel sprouts. We followed that up with lobster tacos, snapper tacos and a bayou burger + onion rings and truffle fries. To finish it off we enjoyed S’mores and Pecan Pie. Everything was delicious and it was a great way to end a fantastic trip!

As our time at the Four Seasons Houston Hotel drew to a close, I found myself smiling from all the the fun experiences we shared.  A big thank you to the staff at Four Seasons Houston Hotel for the incredible service and the absolutely wonderful stay! It truly exceeded my expectations! If you would like to learn more about the Four Seasons Houston Hotel you can visit their website here.
