In today's episode of two minutes of motivation, I'm going to be talking about the power of ritual. And some ways that you can include more ritual into your life. I had a great conversation this week with Jeffrey Champeau, the VP of business at Rishi tea and botanicals and tea is such a wonderful way to incorporate ritual into your life that inspired me to spend some time with you today on this topic.

So there are so many different reasons why incorporating ritual into your life has beneficial, but here are a few. Number one, it can increase your sense of security and safety. It can make you feel grounded. Secondly, it also could help with mindfulness practices, having rituals bring you back to the present moment.

Third, it also can help increase gratitude. So those are just a few reasons why having rituals can really enhance your overall sense of wellbeing.

Now, how can you go about incorporating more ritual into your life to support your overall. The first way is to take a look at your morning, incorporating a beneficial ritual in the morning is a great way to set off the day.

That could be a gratitude practice in the morning could be, uh, taking a walk outdoors. It could be taking a moment just to breathe or to meditate or to pray. So whatever works for you, but the morning time is a great time to incorporate a really healthy, beneficial ritual into your life. Secondly, incorporating rituals into your day, whether you're working, whether you're home, whether you're doing whatever it is you're doing throughout the day, having set times where you come back to a ritual can help ground you and bring you back to the present moment.

So that could be, you know, if you're working for an hour, every hour you take a 10-minute break and during the 10-minute break, you focus on your breath or you meditate, or you take a walk outdoors. So really look at your day, look at your schedule and see where you can incorporate a ritual to bring you back to the present moment to really enhance your overall well-being.

Now, the third thing is to take a look at your evening routine. This is another great opportunity to incorporate a ritual, to help calm down your nervous system and set the stage for a restful night's sleep. So whether that's taking a bath, whether that's listening to some soothing music, play around with it and see what works for you.

So again, the three ways that you can incorporate more rituals are number one, look at your morning routine. Number two, try and look at your breaks during the day and how you can incorporate rituals during those breaks. And third, take a look at your evening routine.
