Episode Transcript

In today's episode of tube, minutes and motivation. I'm going to be sharing with you three ways to increase your resiliency. I chatted with Cori Sue Morris this week, who's the CEO and founder of retreat foods and being an entrepreneurial, it can be challenging and you have to be a very resilient person to be able to launch a business and stick with all the ups and downs.

So that got me thinking about resiliency.

The first thing that you can do to support being resilient is to have a perspective that empowers you. You have control over your perspective. Now, if you're able to view all of the challenges that you faced as learning lessons, that's going to feel a lot more empowering.

So viewing all of the different things you've gone through in your life as opportunities and really focusing on the solution instead of being stuck in the problem. When you focus on the solution and what you've learned, how you've grown, that is going to make you a more resilient person.

The second step is to add more gratitude into your life, to start focusing on what is going right, and what you've again learned from the experiences you've had, being grateful for all the things that you've gone through even when things didn't go the way that she wanted. You're always learning. You're always growing and there's always something to be grateful for even when times are tough.

Now, the third thing that I've used personally, during times of high stress to support resiliency are things like adaptogens.

Now, Cori Sue Morris. She has a new line retreat foods where they added adaptogens to these nut butters, but adaptogens aren't coming in a lot of different forms as well.

Whether you've been experiencing hair loss or thinning hair damage, or if you're just looking to have healthy, vibrant hair, you're going to love what I'm about to share about our sponsor Vegamour.

I'm all about clean beauty products that actually work. And with Vegamour’s plant-based formulas, you can have healthier and thicker hair without all the harmful side effects. Since using their eyelash Sierra, my eyelashes look noticeably longer and no joke. Everyone in my house has commented on how wonderful my hair smells after using their shampoo and conditioner.

Not to mention my hair's looking healthier and fuller. If you're looking to enhance your hair care journey, I recommend their grow collection of hair lash and brow products for visibly thicker, fuller, longer looking strands, lashes and brows. And as little as 90 days, To be honest, I haven't always paid attention to my hair care products, but after trying vegamour, I have a whole new appreciation for hair health.

And I will never go back. You can get 20% off of your first purchase with vegamour using the code greatly 20 by visiting Vegamour.com. That's V E G A M O U R.com.

Some of my personal favorites that I've used during times of stress are things like ashwagandha and holy basil. Now always talk to your healthcare provider about this because there are going to be contra-indications, interactions, people who shouldn't take it, you need to know about dosing and all of the rest of it. So it's not for everyone, but if it is a right fit, these potential to support you during times of stress. Something else that can be potentially helpful are things like CBD. Now, definitely know your source. Talk to your healthcare provider about that. But CBD is something that I would use occasionally when I was practicing an Integrative Psychiatry. And it did  seem to help certain people when they were going through times of stress.

Now, Vegamour is the sponsor for this show and they have CBD in a lot of their hair products, which I think is really, really neat. You're seeing CBD in more and more body products as well. So again, three ways to boost resiliency. Number one, it is about your perspective, focus on what you're learning. Focus on the solution. Number two, practice gratitude and number three, talk to your healthcare provider about supplements, adaptogens, CBD. If some of those may make sense for you personally. So I hope that this helps and until next time, this is Kristel Bauer of Live Greatly. Inspiring you to awaken your ultimate potential.
