In today's episode of two minutes of motivation. I'm going to be sharing three ways to boost your productivity. I chatted with John Brandon this week, who is a columnist for Forbes and the author of The Seven Minute Productivity solution, which got me thinking about this subject, and I want to dive a little deeper into it with you today.

So the first thing that you want to do when you want to boost your productivity is you need to get clear on what your intentions are. There's so much noise going on in our outer world and so many different poles for our attention that you really need to be able to set your intentions and your focus on what really matters.

And that means you need to prioritize what actually requires your attention and focus. What are the first steps? So get clear and set those intentions on what it is you want to focus on and work on. 

The second thing is you actually have to minimize distractions. So what does that look like? That means putting your phone in a different room, making sure that when you're going to be working on the project or goal that you have in mind, that you set time aside where you're not going to be distracted from family members, kids, et cetera.

The third step is you want to set your space up for success and to help support you into getting into a flow state, it's going to be really hard to get into a flow state if you're in a room where there's a lot of clutter or laundry piled up or dirty dishes and things that are going to be distracting you.

So getting into a space where you're able to focus, the room's clean. Perhaps you have a nice view. There's a window you can see outside and really a space that helps you feel creative. That's why so many people do well and they have these creative thoughts when they're on vacation. So try and set up a vacation space in your home or wherever it is that you are to set yourself up for getting into that flow space.

So again, these three ways to boost productivity are number one, get clear on your intentions. Two, minimize distractions. Three, set your space up for success.
