It's time to be your best slept self. The national sleep foundation advances, sleep health and wellbeing through education and advocacy. They've been studying and reporting on sleep for over 30 years. Sleep awareness week in 2022 is March 13th through the 19th and every year, NSF takes this time to reemphasize the important connection between your sleep and your health.

This year, they are helping you become your best slept self. Today many Americans are not getting the sleep that they need to live their healthiest lives, the national sleep foundation's annual sleep in America poll indicates that good sleep is within everyone's reach. The 2022 poll show sleep is a process that starts long before bedtime and is influenced by key daytime activities, including light exposure, meal regularity, stress and physical activity.

In today's episode of two minutes and motivation. I'm going to be sharing a few of my biggest takeaways from my conversation with Camila McConaughey. I chatted with Camila about a lot of really interesting topics. If you didn't have a chance to check out that episode, I highly recommend you do. It was an awesome conversation.

So the first big takeaway I had was how incredibly important community is, and I've always known that and our conversation just reemphasized that.So putting time and effort into harnessing and fostering community is so incredibly important for your overall wellbeing. You, we all need to feel supported and connected and having a community is a wonderful way to enhance your overall wellbeing and your happiness.

And the second takeaway that I had was the importance of just making better for you choices. Camila talked about using the phrase “better for you.” And I loved that because it's not about getting it all right. It's not about being perfect. It's just about doing the best that you can. So if you're able to make better for you choices consistently, that can have a really, really powerful impact.

The third thing that I took away from the conversation was just letting go othe guilt, letting go of the mom guilt. And if you are a parent listening, I'm sure you can relate to that feeling of, uh,mom guilt, parenting guilt that can creep in here and there. And sometimes as a parent, you know, we can be so hard on ourselves and it's so important to just take a deep breath and put it all in perspective a lot of the things. Parents myself included stress about are not a big deal in the big picture. So cut yourself a break and just really try and let go of that mom guilt or that parenting guilt.

So the, my big three takeaways again are number one, the importance of building community. Number two, how these small changes can make a really, really powerful impact when done consistently. And number three, letting go of the guilt as a parent.

I hope that this helps. Until next time, this is Kristel Bauer with Live Greatly inspiring you to awaken your ultimate potential.
